Tanja Bruckner is an established fashion photographer and exhibited artist. Her fashion photography has been published in numerous leading fashion periodicals, including Fashion Australian & New Zealand Designers Thames & Hudson, 2010, Yen, Black and Harpers Bazaar.
Her imaginative aesthetic has formed her signature style and subsequent success, and has led her to co-create campaigns for prominent Australian fashion designers such as Romance Was Born, Elke Kramer and Tina Kalivas.
Born in Sydney Australia in 1979, Bruckner began her career in photography after graduating from Sydney Collage of Art with a BA Honours in 2005. Her graduating series, Man of the Twenty First Century, went on to be exhibited in the Perth Museum of Contemporary Art. A thirst for adventure and cultural experience has taken her all around the world from the Ukraine and Russia to Turkey and Mexico, spending time living and working in London, Berlin, Kenya and Tokyo.
Her interest in the arts extends beyond practicing through to curation and education. From developing The Butcher Shop Gallery, which she founded as artistic director, to her work for the NSW Board of Studies Artexpress programme, as a Regional Exhibition Assistant.
Her passion for social justice issues has seen her collaborating with several non-profit organizations such as Linkz Incorporated and Leone Productions. Bruckner recently returned from facilitating photography workshops with young people at Kobilo High School in Kenya.
